Community Guidelines

Last updated: 29 September 2026

Ukung is a place to keep your journeys and share them with the people you travel with. It's meant to feel like a shared table, not a stage. These guidelines explain what that means in practice. They are part of our Terms of Service, and the Terms win if the two ever differ.

The short version. Your private archive is yours. Once you share something, whether it's a trip link, a collection or a comment, other people see it, so it has to be something you'd be comfortable putting in front of them. A small number of things are never allowed anywhere, even in private.

Never allowed, even in private

Family photos are fine. Kids at the beach or in the bath, and the everyday moments parents keep, are not what this rule is about.

Not allowed in anything you share

These apply to trip links, collections, anything on a feed that followers see, comments, and your profile name and picture.

Sexual content and nudity

No sexually explicit content or pornography. Non-sexual nudity in a clear artistic, documentary or cultural context, such as a statue in a museum or a public breastfeeding, is fine.

Violence and gore

No graphic images of serious injury or death, and nothing that glorifies or encourages violence, self-harm or cruelty to animals. Showing the world as it is, such as a memorial or a place where history happened, is fine.

Hate and extremism

No content that attacks or demeans people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or serious illness. No content that supports terrorist or violent extremist groups.

Harassment

No threats, bullying or targeted abuse. Disagreeing is fine; going after a person isn't. If someone asks you to stop contacting them, stop.

Spam and deception

No spam, scams, or misleading links. Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't use comments to advertise.

Other people's privacy

A map is personal: a pin can reveal where someone lives, works or goes to school. Before you share:

Other people's work

Share photos and videos you took, or ones you have permission to share. If you believe your work was shared without permission, see section 7 of the Terms.

Comments

Comments are a conversation among the people around a trip, so treat them like one. The owner of a trip can remove comments on it. Anyone can block someone, which stops them commenting on your trips and following you.

Reporting

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, use โš‘ Report on the shared page, the photo or the comment. You don't need an account. You can also email hello@ukung.com. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

What happens next

A person reviews every report. Nothing is removed just because it was reported many times. Depending on how serious it is, we may:

If we act on your content, we'll tell you what we did and why, unless the law or someone's safety prevents it. If you think we got it wrong, reply to our message or email hello@ukung.com, and a person will look again.

Changes

We'll update these guidelines as Ukung grows, and change the date at the top when we do.
